Switch to St. Mary
You fill in four fields. We do the awkward part.
Transferring a prescription is free, it takes about a day, and you keep every refill you have left. You don't need to call your current pharmacy or explain yourself to anyone — our pharmacist handles that conversation for you.
Start your transfer
We need enough to identify you at your current pharmacy — that’s all.
What happens next
- 1Our pharmacist reviews your request the same day we receive it.
- 2We contact your current pharmacy and request your prescription file.
- 3We call you once everything is across and ready to fill.
- 4From then on, it's just us. Bring your benefits card on your first visit.
Rather do it by phone?
Call us at (905) 315-8008 and we’ll take the same details down over the line. It takes about three minutes.
Nothing is stored. Your details are emailed directly to our pharmacist and are not saved to this website, a database, or any third-party service beyond the email itself.
Questions people ask before switching
Do I have to tell my current pharmacy I'm leaving?
No. That's the part people dread, and it's the part we handle. Our pharmacist contacts them directly, requests your file, and you never have to have the conversation.
Does transferring cost anything?
No. There is no fee to transfer prescriptions between pharmacies in Ontario, and we don't charge one either.
How long does it take?
Usually within one business day. We'll call you once your file is here and your prescriptions are ready to fill.
Will I lose my remaining refills?
No. Your remaining refills come across with the prescription. Nothing is lost in the move.
Can I transfer just one medication?
Yes. Tell us which ones in the form and we'll move only those. Plenty of people keep a specialty medication where it is and move everything else.
What about my drug plan and my deductible?
Your coverage follows you, not your pharmacy. Bring your benefits card on your first visit and we'll set it up.
